Lyza’s Slippers

A birthday package arrives from Lyza’s wonderful, majical Grandma Bean. Tearing it open with anticipation, she pulls out a pair of funny looking, homemade slippers. She puts them on, but soon the neighborhood kids are laughing at the moppy, green shoes. Lyza sheepishly stows them away and moves on with her day. However, with time, and persistence, they become the best pair of slippers a girl could hope to own.
